Along the Egola river, other ancient villages are Balconevisi, dominated by the Villa Strozzi. From this very old settlement (the name is probably Longobard: the Valle di Cunighiso) several very interesting itineraries can be followed, some of which lead to underground tombs from the Neolithic Age.

Balconevisi is home for many historical families among the white truffle hunters and local traders. In 1979, the local Circolo ARCI launches the first verison of a white truffle and mushroom Festival. It is later that the Unione Sportiva Balconevisi has started managing and promoting the territory and its products. Next to the truffle there are other local products such as mushrooms and wines. Increasingly popular is the event named "Mangialonga", which combines a guided tour in the truffle woods and a tasting of traditional dishes. The "Palio del Papero" is an other Festival held on the second Sunday of October. During the day there are re-enactment of scenes from rural civilization, testifying to human's relationship with the farm and animals.
